Artist Roger Kemp was one of the first artists to work with the Victorian Tapestry Workshop. Kemp's 'suite of three' tapestries, Evolving Forms, Piano Movement and Organic Form, were woven over a period of six years, from 1984 to 1990, for a commission from the National Gallery of Victoria where they hang in the Great Hall. After the artist's death, and in collaboration with his daughter, Michel, the fourth tapestry, Abstract Sequence, was created 18 years later with two more following in 2006 and 2007 repectively, Unity in Space and Abstract Structure, completing the suite.
