The 150-year history of Melbourne's magnificent sporting arena, the
Melbourne Cricket Ground, is captured in the work of artist Robert Ingpen and the Workshop weavers.

One of the most demanding projects undertaken by the Workshop, the Melbourne Cricket Club tapestry is 2 x 7 metres (6'7" x 22'11") and features cricketers, footballers, cyclists, athletes, performers - over 200 recognisable figures.

This narrative-based tapestry will last many years as a tribute to one of the world's great sporting icons.
