The Reception Hall Tapestry for Parliament House in Canberra was undertaken between 1985 and 1988, and, at 9.18 x 19.9 metres (30'1" x 65'), it is one of the largest tapestries in the world. Based on a painting by artist Arthur Boyd, following his receipt of a commission, in 1984, to design a monumental tapestry for Australia's new Parliament House, it depicts a landscape at Shoalhaven, New South Wales, where Boyd's property, Bundanon, is located.
